Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Commercial Delivery Driver to join our Pasco, WA team. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, ensuring our customers receive their packages promptly and safely. As a Commercial Delivery Driver, you will be the face of Amazon Logistics, responsible for making deliveries, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy being on the road and contributing to a dynamic delivery network.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial delivery vehicle to transport packages to various residential and business locations.
- Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, sometimes requiring lifting and carrying.
- Verify the accuracy of packages against delivery manifests.
- Obtain necessary signatures and complete delivery confirmations accurately.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing Amazon Logistics professionally.
- Comply with all traffic laws, federal and state regulations, and company safety standards.
- Use handheld devices for route navigation, delivery tracking, and communication.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with navigation devices and basic technology.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) as a commercial delivery driver or in a related field.
- Knowledge of the Pasco, WA geographical area.
- Experience using delivery tracking software or handheld devices.
- High School Diploma or GED.
