Job Description

Join the IKEA team as a Clothes Rail Installer, specializing in providing quick and efficient setup aid for individuals enhancing their work-from-home environments. In this role, you will be responsible for the professional assembly and installation of clothes rails and related storage solutions, primarily within residential settings to optimize space for remote work. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently to deliver high-quality results. You will be a key part of helping customers create functional and organized spaces that support their work-from-home lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to assemble and install clothes rails and other home furnishing items.
  • Ensure all installations are completed safely, securely, and to IKEA's quality standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing any queries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to scheduled appointments and manage time effectively to complete installations promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at customer sites.
  • Handle tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Report any product defects or installation challenges to the appropriate department.
  • Offer basic guidance on product care and maintenance post-installation.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for assembly.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Physical dexterity and ability to lift and carry heavy items.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to reliable transportation.
