Job Description
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Microsoft Account Auditor to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote position focuses on ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across various Microsoft accounts, engagements, and internal processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Microsoft’s financial operations, licensing models, and robust auditing principles. You will play a critical role in identifying discrepancies, mitigating risks, and recommending improvements to uphold the highest standards of financial integrity for our clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of Microsoft-related financial accounts, licensing agreements, and transactional data.
- Analyze financial records, reports, and systems to identify potential errors, fraud, or non-compliance.
- Develop and implement audit plans, methodologies, and test procedures specific to Microsoft's ecosystem.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, findings, and recommendations for management and clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to understand business processes and ensure audit objectives are met.
- Stay updated on Microsoft's product changes, licensing terms, and industry auditing standards.
- Assist in the development of risk assessment frameworks and internal controls related to Microsoft accounts.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in auditing, finance, or a related field with a focus on technology or software.
- Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft's financial reporting, accounting principles, and licensing models (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365).
- Proficiency in audit software and financial analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify and interpret complex data patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings and interacting with stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant professional certifications.
- Experience working with a Big Four accounting firm or a major technology company.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for audit purposes.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with remote auditing practices and tools.
