Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals for an entry-level Chemical Bench Technician position at our Evanston facility. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine chemical analyses, tests, and experiments under supervision.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples accurately.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Record, interpret, and report experimental data clearly and precisely.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Assist senior chemists and scientists with complex research projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.
- Manage laboratory supplies and assist with inventory control.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate as necessary.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic understanding of chemical principles and laboratory safety.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting (academic or industrial).
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Experience with analytical instruments (e.g., pH meters, centrifuges, spectrophotometers).
