Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated CDL-A Linehaul Drivers to join our team in Savannah, GA. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe transport of freight across our extensive network. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for operating state-of-the-art equipment, maintaining delivery schedules, and adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle over long distances and varied routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor and trailer to ensure safe operating condition.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including logs, trip reports, and bills of lading.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT hours of service.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck interior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery and pickup of freight.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage immediately.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailer combinations.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours of service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including bending, lifting, and climbing.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience, preferably in linehaul.
- HazMat (H) endorsement.
- Doubles/Triples (T) endorsement.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
