Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our dynamic cardiac care team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional looking for a pathway to work in the United States, as visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. The Cardiovascular Technologist will play a crucial role in performing various diagnostic procedures, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular studies, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. You will work alongside a dedicated team of cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to provide comprehensive patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic cardiovascular procedures including echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and vascular studies.
- Operate and maintain specialized diagnostic equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining tests and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Acquire, analyze, and process diagnostic images and data, providing preliminary findings to cardiologists.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other medical staff to review results and develop treatment plans.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in cardiovascular technology.
Required Skills
- ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) certification (RCS, RDCS, RVT)
- Proficiency in performing echocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular studies.
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field.
- Experience with pediatric echocardiography.
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques and software.
- Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish or Portuguese.
