Job Description

Caliber Collision in Fontana is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Car Paint Prep Trainee to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced paint technicians with preparing vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and cleaning.
  • Learn to properly use and maintain body shop tools and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform basic quality checks on prepared surfaces.
  • Actively participate in training sessions and seek opportunities to learn new skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.

Required Skills

  • Strong desire to learn and develop a career in automotive repair.
  • Ability to follow instructions and and work as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles (e.g., how tools work).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a steady hand.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license.
