Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organised Cable Sorter to join our dynamic telecoms warehouse team in Ipswich. This full-time, on-site role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our inventory and supply chain. You will be responsible for accurately sorting, identifying, and preparing various types of telecom cables and equipment for storage or dispatch. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented and thrive in a structured environment. Weekly pay ensures you receive your earnings consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and sort incoming telecom cables and equipment.
- Accurately identify cable types, lengths, and specifications.
- Organise and store sorted materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing and labeling sorted cables.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) if trained.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with telecom equipment or cabling.
- Forklift certification (not essential, but a bonus).
