Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Bulk Stock Mover to join our team at a large format retail store in New Port Richey, FL. In this ongoing full-time role, you will be crucial in maintaining efficient inventory flow and ensuring products are readily available for our guests. You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and transporting large quantities of merchandise throughout the store and storage areas, contributing directly to a positive shopping experience and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently, verifying contents against shipping invoices.
- Organize and stock merchandise in designated backroom areas and on sales floor shelves.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) in a safe manner.
- Replenish sales floor inventory from the stockroom, ensuring products are displayed according to planograms.
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in loss prevention efforts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the backroom and sales floor.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
- Strong attention to detail for inventory accuracy and product placement.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a retail setting.
