Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Apple Home Specialist to join our exclusive employee benefits team. In this unique role, you will provide premium, concierge-level support and expert guidance to Fidelity employees regarding their Apple Home ecosystems and smart home technologies. This includes setting up new devices, troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing smart home configurations, and educating users on the full potential of Apple HomeKit. You will be a trusted advisor, ensuring our employees can seamlessly integrate and enjoy their smart home solutions as a high-value perk of their employment with Fidelity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support for Apple HomeKit, HomePod, Apple TV, and other integrated smart home devices within the Apple ecosystem.
  • Assist employees with the setup, configuration, and optimization of their Apple Home devices and scenes.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Apple Home devices, network connectivity, and third-party accessory integration.
  • Educate users on best practices, security features, and new functionalities within the Apple Home platform.
  • Conduct personalized consultations (on-site or virtual) to understand employee needs and recommend tailored smart home solutions.
  • Stay current with the latest Apple products, services, and smart home technologies, ensuring up-to-date expertise.
  • Document support interactions and solutions accurately in a knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and benefits teams to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional, courteous, and efficient service.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in Apple HomeKit and the Apple Home ecosystem (devices, apps, automation).
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for consumer electronics and network issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with users.
  • Proficiency with iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and iCloud services.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support cases effectively.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support, smart home integration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or similar certifications.
  • Experience with other smart home platforms (e.g., Google Home, Amazon Alexa) for comparative knowledge.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and Wi-Fi configurations.
  • Experience in a concierge or high-touch customer service environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
