Job Description
Are you an active individual who enjoys being on the move? Menzies Aviation is looking for dedicated and energetic individuals to join our team as an Airport Luggage Trolley Retriever at East Midlands Airport. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for all passengers. You will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and returning luggage trolleys from various areas across the airport campus, including car parks, terminals, and arrival zones. This is a physically demanding role that requires significant walking and outdoor work in all weather conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Systematically collect and retrieve luggage trolleys from designated areas across the airport, including car parks, terminals, and kerbside.
- Transport trolleys efficiently back to central collection points and dispatch areas for redistribution.
- Ensure trolleys are clean and in good working order, reporting any damaged equipment.
- Maintain a consistent and orderly supply of trolleys for passenger use.
- Adhere strictly to all airport safety and security regulations and procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet operational demands.
- Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions and walk significant distances daily.
Required Skills
- High level of physical fitness and stamina to walk extended distances daily.
- Ability to push and pull multiple trolleys, often loaded.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to safety and security protocols.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding outdoor role.
- A valid UK driving license (desirable but not essential).
- Familiarity with airport environments and operations.
