Job Description
We are seeking motivated and responsible 18-year-old individuals to join our team as Site Security Guards for night shifts. This is a licensed role, requiring a valid security guard license (e.g., BSIS Guard Card in California). You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at assigned client sites, conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to incidents. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas, checking for unauthorized access, security breaches, or suspicious activity.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems, promptly reporting any irregularities.
- Respond to emergencies, alarms, and incidents according to established protocols.
- Enforce site rules and regulations, ensuring compliance by all personnel and visitors.
- Write detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting clients, employees, and visitors as needed.
- Perform access control duties, verifying credentials and managing visitor entry/exit.
- Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency services during critical events.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure a safe environment.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possession of a valid security guard license (e.g., BSIS Guard Card in CA).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to comprehend and execute post orders and company policies.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical duties for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and monitoring systems.
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite for night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a security-related role, even if informal (e.g., neighborhood watch, volunteer security).
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
