Job Description
Are you a motivated 15-year-old looking for your first job in a fast-paced, friendly environment? Olive Garden in Cedar Rapids is seeking enthusiastic teens to join our kitchen team as a Dishwasher. Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Maintain a clean and organized dish station, kitchen area, and storage areas.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks as needed, such as peeling vegetables or stocking supplies.
- Empty trash receptacles and maintain cleanliness of waste areas.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Must be 15 years old or older.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a kitchen or similar environment (not required, but a plus).
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene practices.
