Job Description
Join Halliburton as an Oilfield Swab Rig Helper and become a vital part of our field operations team. This immediate opening offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the dynamic oil and gas industry. As a Swab Rig Helper, you will assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of swab rigs used to remove fluids from wellbores, ensuring optimal well performance. This role requires physical stamina, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in challenging outdoor environments across various regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe and efficient rigging up and rigging down of swab rig equipment at various well locations.
- Operate auxiliary equipment as directed by the Swab Rig Operator or Supervisor.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment, including checking fluid levels, greasing, and cleaning.
- Monitor well conditions and equipment performance during swabbing operations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in pre-job safety meetings and hazard assessments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the rig site.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational status and potential issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in oilfield operations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work environment.
- Oilfield experience, even if entry-level.
- Basic knowledge of oil and gas well operations.
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR, H2S, or relevant safety training.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
