Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated WFH Compliance Aide with a high-level privacy focus to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote role is crucial in supporting our ongoing efforts to maintain stringent data privacy standards and regulatory compliance across Amazon’s diverse services and products. The ideal candidate will assist in monitoring, documenting, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations, particularly those related to data protection and privacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data privacy policies and procedures.
  • Monitor changes in privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and assess their impact on Amazon's operations.
  • Support the documentation of privacy-related processes, controls, and compliance activities.
  • Aid in conducting internal audits and assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
  • Help prepare reports and presentations on compliance status and privacy initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams (legal, IT, HR) to ensure privacy by design principles are integrated.
  • Respond to and track data subject requests (e.g., access, deletion requests) under supervision.
  • Provide administrative support to the compliance and privacy teams as needed.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Basic understanding of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Business Administration, Information Systems).
  • Previous experience (internship or entry-level) in a compliance, legal, or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with compliance management software or tools.
  • Certification in privacy (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/US) or willingness to obtain one.
