Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Energy Sector Scribe to join our team, focusing primarily on documentation within our dynamic Houston-based energy projects. While this role is integral to our operations in the energy capital, it is offered as a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. The successful candidate will be responsible for meticulously recording, transcribing, and organizing critical information from meetings, workshops, technical discussions, and project activities. This role demands exceptional listening skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and accurate documentation, ensuring all project details, decisions, and action items are thoroughly captured and accessible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend virtual meetings, workshops, and project discussions related to Houston energy sector initiatives.
  • Accurately record and transcribe detailed meeting minutes, decisions, action items, and technical specifications.
  • Synthesize complex discussions into clear, concise, and actionable documentation.
  • Organize and maintain a centralized repository of project documentation, ensuring version control and easy accessibility.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to clarify information and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare summary reports and presentations based on compiled documentation.
  • Identify and track outstanding action items, following up with responsible parties as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and standards.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional listening and transcription skills.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and clear communication.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a scribe, technical writer, or documentation specialist in the energy or related industrial sector.

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
