Job Description
Join Honeywell as a Summer 2025 Engineering Intern and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment. You will be an integral part of our team, focusing on various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, depending on your background and project assignments. This is an on-site position located at our facility in Yonkers, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers with project planning, design, and execution.
- Conduct research, gather data, and perform analysis to support engineering initiatives.
- Develop and test prototypes, components, or systems under guidance.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and design reviews.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proposing practical solutions.
- Learn and apply industry best practices and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Software, Industrial, Chemical, etc.).
- Strong academic record (GPA 3.0 or higher).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience in an engineering-related field.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
- Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C++, Java).
- Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or extracurricular activities.
