Job Description

As a Night Porter, you will be the heart of our hotel overnight, ensuring our guests feel safe, comfortable, and well-looked after. You will handle guest inquiries, manage late check-ins and early check-outs, maintain security, and perform light administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests arriving during the night and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to all guest requests and inquiries, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular security checks of the hotel premises, including common areas and external grounds, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to any alarms or incidents, escalating as necessary.
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints or issues during the night shift, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare the lobby and reception area for the morning shift, including basic cleaning and organization.
  • Manage late-night food and beverage orders, if applicable, and assist with any ad-hoc requests.
  • Complete end-of-day financial reports and audit tasks accurately.
  • Be the first point of contact for emergency situations, following established protocols.
  • Undertake any other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel overnight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, hospitality, call centre) is a plus, but not essential.
  • Basic IT proficiency (e.g., using a computer for data entry).
  • A valid First Aid certificate (training can be provided).
