Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our FedEx Express team in New Port Richey, Florida. This is an immediate hiring opportunity for dedicated professionals ready to contribute to our world-class delivery service. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for the efficient handling and movement of packages, ensuring timely and safe deliveries that uphold the FedEx standard of excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload packages from vehicles and sorting equipment.
- Sort packages according to destination and prepare them for delivery.
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws (if applicable to specific role, e.g., courier).
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Scan and document package information accurately using handheld devices.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or delivery role.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if role involves driving).
