Job Description
Are you an experienced and resilient ER Staff Nurse (RN) ready to thrive in a high-energy, critical care setting? Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in Uptown Dallas. Key Responsibilities
- Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments and triage in emergency situations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, emergency medical technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Initiate and manage life support measures, including CPR, intubation assistance, and defibrillation.
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records and documentation.
- Ensure patient safety and adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during stressful situations.
Required Skills
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Room or critical care setting.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure in high-stress situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems like Epic.
