Job Description

Costa Coffee in Stockport is looking for vibrant and energetic Baristas to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, consistently adhering to Costa Coffee's quality standards.
- Operate coffee equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance.
- Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders, handling payments, and building rapport with regulars.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the coffee bar, seating areas, and restrooms.
- Handle food preparation, including warming pastries and sandwiches, ensuring food safety guidelines are followed.
- Manage cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and receiving deliveries.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues during peak times.
Required Skills
- Passion for coffee and an eagerness to learn about coffee preparation.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10kg.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a coffee shop or hospitality role.
- Food hygiene certificate (Level 1 or 2).
- Ability to latte art.
