Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and diligent Part-time Evening Porter to join our friendly team at St. Anne’s College. This role is ideal for students or individuals looking for consistent evening work, offering a welcoming and secure environment. As an Evening Porter, you will be an essential part of the college’s operations, ensuring the safety, security, and smooth running of our premises during the evening hours. This position requires a proactive approach and a commitment to providing excellent service to our college community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the main entrance, ensuring controlled access to college buildings.
  • Perform regular security patrols of the college grounds and buildings.
  • Respond promptly to fire alarms, emergencies, and first aid incidents.
  • Assist with lock-up procedures and ensure all designated areas are secured.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and parcels as required.
  • Provide a helpful and welcoming point of contact for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activity.
  • Undertake minor maintenance tasks or report defects to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all college policies and safety regulations.
