Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Pear Pickers for the upcoming harvest season. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in traditional orchard work within the beautiful surroundings of Harewood Estate. The role involves the careful hand-picking of pears, ensuring quality and contributing to the successful harvest of our fruit. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. We value a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Weekly payouts ensure a steady income during the harvest period.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully hand-pick pears from trees, ensuring fruit quality and minimizing damage.
- Follow picking instructions and guidelines to meet harvest targets.
- Sort and place picked fruit into designated containers.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations on the orchard.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily goals.
- Report any fruit damage or tree health concerns to supervisors.
