Job Description
Are you a motivated Pharmacy Technician looking for a dynamic role with premium weekend rates? CVS Health in Garland, TX, is seeking dedicated ‘Weekend Warriors’ to join our pharmacy team. In this vital part-time role, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive their medications accurately and efficiently, while providing exceptional service. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance verification, and patient profile management.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.
Required Skills
- Current State of Texas Pharmacy Technician registration or certification.
- Proven ability to accurately and efficiently perform pharmacy calculations and tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and basic computer applications.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- National certification (e.g., PTCB, NHA) is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Experience with CVS Health pharmacy systems (e.g., RxConnect).
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
