Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team as Cherry Harvest Hands for the upcoming summer season. This is a crucial role responsible for picking cherries with care and efficiency, ensuring the highest quality produce is gathered. This seasonal position offers high rates of pay and provides an excellent opportunity to work outdoors in a vibrant agricultural setting. No prior experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully hand-pick cherries from trees, ensuring minimal damage to fruit and trees.
- Sort and pack picked cherries into designated containers, adhering to quality standards.
- Work efficiently to meet daily picking targets and contribute to overall harvest goals.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area within the orchard.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Work effectively as part of a team under the guidance of supervisors.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and reaching, for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (sun, rain, heat).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural work or fruit picking is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends during peak harvest.
- Access to reliable transportation to reach the farm location.
