Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dermatology Nurse Practitioner with a strong focus on both cosmetic and medical dermatology to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive dermatological care, including diagnosing and treating various skin conditions, performing cosmetic procedures, and educating patients on skin health. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive dermatological evaluations, including medical history review and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat common and complex dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, and more.
- Perform a range of cosmetic procedures, including but not limited to, Botox injections, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser treatments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including skin biopsies and lab work.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for medical and cosmetic patients.
- Provide patient education on skin care, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in an electronic health record system.
- Stay current with advancements in dermatology, medical treatments, and cosmetic procedures.
Required Skills
- Current Pennsylvania State NP license and RN licensure.
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with at least 2 years in dermatology.
- Proficiency in performing cosmetic procedures (Botox, fillers, lasers, peels).
- Strong diagnostic and treatment skills for a wide range of dermatological conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient education and safety.
- BLS/ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing.
- Experience with dermatological surgical procedures.
- Additional certifications in cosmetic dermatology.
- Familiarity with Epic EHR system.
