Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Casual Hotel Porters at the Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel. This role offers flexible shifts, making it perfect for those looking for part-time work that fits around other commitments. You’ll be a vital part of our front-of-house team, ensuring guests have a seamless and pleasant experience from the moment they arrive. If you’re physically fit, have a can-do attitude, and are ready to start immediately, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, offering assistance with luggage.
- Safely transport guest luggage to and from rooms, ensuring care and efficiency.
- Assist guests with inquiries, providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
- Handle incoming and outgoing deliveries, ensuring proper distribution.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel lobby and entrance areas.
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks or report issues to the relevant department.
- Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
