Join the FedEx Express team as a Junior Sorter! You will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring that packages are sorted and moved efficiently through our facility. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from company vehicles, trailers, and conveyor belts.
- Scan and sort packages accurately according to destination and service type.
- Safely move packages, including those weighing up to 50 lbs (23 kg) individually, and heavier items with assistance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic literacy (reading shipping labels and instructions).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or physical labor role (even if informal).
- Familiarity with scanning equipment (training provided).
