Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Part-time Life Coaches to join our remote team, specifically for evening shifts (5pm-9pm local time, flexible across US time zones). As a Life Coach at BetterUp, you will empower individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals through personalized coaching sessions. This 100% remote role requires a strong understanding of coaching methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to facilitate growth and positive change. You will work with a diverse clientele, providing guidance, support, and accountability to help them navigate challenges, unlock potential, and create fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual coaching sessions with members during scheduled evening hours (5pm-9pm).
- Develop personalized coaching plans tailored to individual member goals and needs.
- Provide guidance and support in areas such as career development, work-life integration, personal growth, and leadership skills.
- Utilize active listening, powerful questioning, and other coaching techniques to facilitate self-discovery and action.
- Track member progress and maintain accurate records of coaching interactions within our platform.
- Adhere to ethical coaching standards and maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings as required.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive coaching community.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in life coaching, executive coaching, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of coaching principles, methodologies, and ethics.
- Exceptional active listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build rapport and trust quickly with diverse individuals.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication platforms and basic office software.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
- Availability to work consistently during specified evening hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- ICF (International Coaching Federation) certification (ACC, PCC, MCC) or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Experience coaching individuals from various industries and professional backgrounds.
- Familiarity with digital coaching platforms and tools.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
