Job Description
PepsiCo is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Labeling Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in Rialto, CA. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining labeling equipment to ensure the efficient and high-quality application of labels to our wide range of beverage products. This is a regular, full-time position within a fast-paced factory environment, requiring a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in our production line, contributing directly to product presentation and brand integrity. We are looking for an individual who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and capable of working effectively in a team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor labeling machines to ensure products are labeled correctly and efficiently.
- Perform routine checks and adjustments on machinery to maintain optimal performance.
- Load labels and other materials into the machine as required.
- Inspect labeled products for quality, ensuring labels are correctly placed, legible, and adhere properly.
- Troubleshoot minor machine malfunctions and perform basic preventative maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations.
- Communicate any equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other production team members to achieve daily production targets.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Experience with labeling equipment specifically.
- Forklift certification (if applicable to the role).
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP principles.
