Audible, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Pro Audio Transcriber to join our content production team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced transcriber to work with high-quality audio content, ensuring exceptional accuracy and adherence to specific style guides. We are looking for individuals with the potential to perform at a ‘Rev Pro Tier’ level or higher, capable of handling complex audio, multiple speakers, and specialized terminology with top-tier precision. Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio content with exceptional accuracy, capturing all spoken words, speaker changes, and non-verbal cues as per specific guidelines.
- Edit and proofread transcripts thoroughly to eliminate errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
- Adhere strictly to project-specific style guides and client requirements, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Manage and prioritize multiple transcription projects, meeting deadlines consistently.
- Handle challenging audio, including poor sound quality, accents, and specialized terminology.
- Utilize transcription software and tools effectively to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive audio content and transcripts.
- Collaborate with content production and quality assurance teams as needed.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in English with exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in professional audio transcription, preferably with a focus on high-fidelity or complex audio.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve accuracy rates of 99% or higher consistently.
- Proficiency with transcription software and digital audio playback tools.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to discern speech in challenging audio environments.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free work.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace for remote work components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with media transcription for podcasts, audiobooks, film, or broadcast.
- Familiarity with various transcription style guides (e.g., Chicago, AP, custom client guides).
- Certification or proven track record at 'Pro Tier' levels with major transcription services (e.g., Rev, TranscribeMe, GoTranscript).
