Job Description

As a Supply Chain Controller at Michelin North America, Inc., you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for providing financial insights, analyzing supply chain performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements. This position requires a strong analytical mind, a deep understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations that drive strategic business decisions. You will contribute significantly to the financial health and operational excellence of our North American operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust financial control processes for supply chain operations.
  • Analyze supply chain costs, including logistics, warehousing, and inventory, to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budgets related to supply chain activities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insightful commentary on variances and trends.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and sales teams to drive efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  • Evaluate supply chain projects and initiatives, providing financial justifications and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external regulations.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial models and analysis related to supply chain network design and capacity planning.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain finance or controlling within a large manufacturing or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO and MM modules) or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Supply Chain Management.
  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with international trade and customs regulations.
  • Previous experience in the automotive or tire manufacturing industry.
