Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Online Technical Writer to create engaging and accessible documentation specifically tailored for 17-year-old teens. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for developing clear, concise, and user-friendly content that supports our educational products and platforms. Your work will empower young learners by simplifying complex technical information, providing helpful guides, and contributing to a seamless user experience. You should have a knack for understanding the teenage perspective and translating technical jargon into relatable language.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, FAQs, tutorials, and in-app help, primarily for a teenage audience.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and content creators to understand product features and user needs.
- Simplify complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand language and engaging formats.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all documentation.
- Gather feedback from users and internal teams to continuously improve content.
- Manage documentation projects from inception to publication, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Adhere to brand voice and style guidelines, specifically tailoring tone for a young adult demographic.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to translate technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content for a non-technical audience.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms or educational technology.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with content management systems and documentation tools.
