Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Logistics Tally Clerk to join our warehouse team in New Port Richey, FL. This essential full-time role focuses heavily on physical inventory management, accurate counting, and meticulous documentation within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will thrive on precision and efficiency, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are correctly tallied and recorded. This position requires hands-on involvement with warehouse operations and will primarily involve direct interaction with goods and paperwork, with no phone call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately count, verify, and document incoming and outgoing shipments, comparing against manifests, invoices, and other documentation.
- Perform physical tallying of goods, including loading and unloading operations, ensuring correct quantities and product identification.
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately to supervisors.
- Maintain organized and accessible records of all tallied items and related paperwork.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse associates, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in counting and record-keeping.
- Strong basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English to interpret documentation.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented warehouse environment.
- Basic organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory control role.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Ability to operate a forklift or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
