Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity to earn extra income on weekends? Randstad is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weekend Transcriptionist to join our talent network. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with excellent listening skills and a keen eye for accuracy to work remotely and contribute to various projects. As a General Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for converting audio and video recordings into accurate written text for a diverse range of clients across different industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio and video recordings accurately and efficiently into written documents.
- Proofread and edit transcribed documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity.
- Ensure strict adherence to specific style guides and formatting requirements.
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for multiple projects.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information.
- Communicate effectively with project managers regarding any challenges or clarifications needed.
Required Skills
- Exceptional listening skills and high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to type accurately at a minimum of 60 words per minute.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proficiency with word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate transcription equipment (headset recommended).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in general transcription or related fields.
- Familiarity with various audio/video file formats and transcription software.
- Experience with different accents and multiple speakers.
- A strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
