BetterUp is seeking a dedicated and insightful WFH Future Self Mentor with a strong focus on Visionary Planning. This is a 100% remote position. As a Future Self Mentor, you will guide professionals in envisioning their ideal future, setting clear strategic goals, and developing actionable plans to achieve them. You will work one-on-one with members, leveraging cutting-edge psychological and coaching methodologies to inspire clarity, resilience, and profound growth. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual coaching sessions with members, specifically focusing on future self-visualization and visionary planning.
- Guide members in defining long-term personal and professional goals aligned with their core values and aspirations.
- Facilitate the creation of strategic action plans, breaking down complex visions into achievable milestones.
- Provide constructive feedback, accountability, and ongoing support to members throughout their coaching journey.
- Utilize BetterUp's proprietary platform and tools to track member progress and deliver a personalized experience.
- Stay current with best practices in coaching, positive psychology, and future studies.
- Collaborate with the BetterUp mentor community to share insights and continuously improve coaching methodologies.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of coaching interactions and member progress.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in professional coaching, mentoring, or strategic consulting.
- Demonstrated expertise in goal setting, strategic planning, and future visualization techniques.
- Exceptional active listening and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong empathy, emotional intelligence, and ability to build rapport quickly.
- Proficiency in using virtual communication and collaboration tools.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and empower individuals towards self-actualization.
- High degree of professionalism and ethical conduct.
Preferred Qualifications
- ICF (International Coaching Federation) certification or equivalent.
- Advanced degree in psychology, organizational development, business, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse professional backgrounds and industries.
- Familiarity with positive psychology principles and evidence-based coaching models.
- Prior experience in a remote work environment.
