Job Description

The EA Career Kickstart Internship is a comprehensive, paid program designed to introduce aspiring professionals to various facets of the video game industry. Interns will rotate through different departments, including Quality Assurance, Community Management, and potentially aspects of game design or production support, gaining a holistic understanding of game development and operations. This immersive experience will challenge you to apply your gaming insights in a professional setting, develop critical industry skills, and contribute to real-world projects. This is an on-site position located in Pasco, WA, offering direct mentorship and hands-on experience within a vibrant team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in game testing and provide constructive feedback on gameplay, features, and user experience.
  • Assist community managers in moderating online forums, social media channels, and engaging with player communities.
  • Gather and analyze player data to identify trends and inform decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing development and live service operations.
  • Learn and apply industry-standard tools and methodologies for game development and quality assurance.
  • Contribute ideas and insights during team meetings, demonstrating a passion for innovation.
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Actively participate in mentorship sessions and workshops designed to enhance professional growth.

Required Skills

  • Prior experience with game modding, content creation, or participation in gaming communities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
  • Basic understanding of game development pipelines or software testing principles.
  • Experience creating or curating online content related to gaming.
