Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly efficient Central Fill Pharmacy Technician with a strong focus on high-volume production to join our advanced facility in Jacksonville, FL. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated dispensing equipment and machinery used in a high-volume central fill pharmacy setting.
  • Accurately prepare, label, and dispense prescription medications, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and quality control measures.
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance checks on filled prescriptions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper packaging before shipment.
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including efficient receiving, precise stocking, and systematic rotation of supplies to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
  • Maintain a meticulously clean and organized work environment in full compliance with all regulatory standards, including USP and HIPAA.
  • Assist with the secure packaging and shipping of completed prescription orders to various distribution points.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues, escalating more complex technical problems to maintenance or supervisory staff as needed.
  • Strictly adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws, as well as established company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to optimize workflow efficiency and enhance overall productivity.

Required Skills

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification from PTCB or NHA is mandatory.
  • Possession of an active Pharmacy Technician license/registration in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a strong preference for experience in a high-volume retail or central fill pharmacy setting.
  • Proficiency in utilizing pharmacy management software and operating automated dispensing systems.
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in a related scientific or healthcare field.
  • Prior experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other process improvement frameworks.
  • Specific prior experience working within a dedicated central fill pharmacy environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced inventory management systems tailored for pharmaceutical products.
