Job Description
Are you a highly motivated and physically capable individual looking for a dynamic role with great pay? ABM Industries is seeking a dedicated Pressure Washing Assistant for our mobile team in Salinas, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, master specialized equipment, and contribute to maintaining the pristine appearance of various commercial and residential properties. You will travel to different client sites daily, assisting in all aspects of pressure washing operations, ensuring top-quality results and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the safe and efficient setup and operation of pressure washing equipment, including hoses, nozzles, and various machines.
- Prepare surfaces for pressure washing by clearing debris, applying pre-treatment solutions, and ensuring proper containment.
- Safely handle and mix cleaning detergents and chemicals according to manufacturer guidelines and company protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work effectively as part of a mobile team, collaborating with lead technicians and other assistants to complete projects on time.
- Travel to various job sites within Salinas and surrounding areas, ensuring timely arrival and readiness for work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment trailer.
- Provide exceptional service and maintain professional communication with clients on site.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (essential for a mobile role).
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in pressure washing, outdoor maintenance, landscaping, or a related field.
- Familiarity with safety procedures for power tools and chemical handling.
- Knowledge of different pressure washing techniques for various surfaces (concrete, wood, siding, etc.).
- Customer service experience or a professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
