Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Service Representative to join our Pasco branch team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our members, providing outstanding service, accurately processing transactions, and identifying opportunities to help them achieve their financial goals. Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional face-to-face and phone support to members, addressing inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Process a variety of financial transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Actively listen to member needs and effectively recommend appropriate credit union products and services, such as checking accounts, savings accounts, and loans.
- Assist members with account maintenance, online banking support, and other service requests.
- Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of all credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance, security protocols, and internal policies to safeguard member information and credit union assets.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and enhance the overall member experience.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a financial setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and balance a till.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish/English) is highly valued.
- Previous experience with financial software or core banking systems.
