Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Google Documentation Clerk with an Engineering focus to join our remote team. This 100% remote role involves supporting our engineering departments by managing, organizing, and ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of technical documentation primarily within Google Workspace and other internal documentation platforms. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for understanding technical information and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of data integrity and consistency. This position is critical for enabling our engineers to efficiently access up-to-date and well-structured information, contributing directly to project success and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, classify, and maintain technical documentation, including project specifications, design documents, test plans, and user manuals, primarily using Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to established company standards, version control policies, and best practices for clarity and accessibility.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to collect, review, and integrate new or updated technical content.
- Implement and manage documentation workflows to streamline content creation, review, and publication processes.
- Assist in the migration of existing documentation to new platforms or formats as required, ensuring data integrity during transfers.
- Conduct regular audits of documentation to identify outdated, redundant, or missing information and facilitate necessary updates.
- Provide support and training to engineering staff on documentation tools and best practices.
- Manage access permissions and sharing settings for sensitive technical documents.
- Generate reports on documentation status, usage, and compliance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Sites)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
