Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an Inventory Hand at our Pasco, WA facility. This crucial role involves accurate handling, sorting, scanning, and tracking of packages within our fast-paced distribution center. Success in this position requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and exceptional attention to detail, especially during various shift times.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately load and unload packages from vehicles, sort operations, and conveyor belts.
- Scan packages using handheld devices and ensure correct data entry.
- Verify package information against manifests and shipping labels to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently, if certified.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and meet service commitments.
- Adapt to varying package volumes and work schedules, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisory staff immediately.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with handheld scanning devices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for assigned shifts.
- Commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or package handling role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification preferred).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
