Job Description

Are you a dependable individual with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for helping others? CAA Atlantic is seeking a Mobile Battery Boost Specialist to join our dedicated roadside assistance team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this essential role, you will be the first point of contact for Members experiencing vehicle battery issues, providing prompt, efficient, and friendly battery boosting services directly at their location. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, has excellent customer service skills, and is comfortable with basic vehicle maintenance tasks. You will operate a fully equipped service vehicle and be a vital part of our mission to deliver unparalleled roadside support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to service calls for vehicle battery boosts.
  • Safely operate and maintain a company-provided service vehicle and specialized equipment.
  • Diagnose basic vehicle battery issues and perform battery boosting services on-site.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring Member satisfaction and a positive experience.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Accurately complete service records and related documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle.
  • Offer basic advice on battery care and vehicle maintenance to Members.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with vehicle electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in roadside assistance, automotive repair, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of different vehicle makes and models.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
