Job Description

Join Tesco Distribution as a Root Vegetable Sorter, playing a crucial role in our post-harvest processing team based in Coventry. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for the meticulous sorting and quality control of various root vegetables, ensuring only the freshest and highest-quality produce makes it to our shelves. This is an immediate start, full-time position offering weekly pay and the chance to contribute to feeding millions across the UK. Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and sort various root vegetables (e.g., potatoes, carrots, parsnips) to identify and remove any damaged, diseased, or substandard items.
  • Operate sorting machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Package sorted vegetables according to company specifications and quality guidelines.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the sorting process, reporting any issues to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
