Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Electronic Gaming Auditor to join our night shift team. This critical role involves ensuring the integrity and compliance of electronic gaming machines (EGMs) in both arcade and casino environments throughout the state. As an Electronic Gaming Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, verifying payouts, assessing security protocols, and documenting all findings to uphold regulatory standards. This position is vital to maintaining public trust in Oregon’s gaming operations and requires a keen eye for detail, a strong ethical compass, and the ability to work independently during night hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive audits of electronic gaming machines (EGMs), including slot machines, video poker, and other gaming terminals, during assigned night shifts.
  • Verify game integrity, payout percentages, and random number generator (RNG) functionality in accordance with established regulations and technical standards.
  • Inspect security features of gaming equipment, including seals, access logs, and surveillance systems, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or vulnerabilities.
  • Review operational data, transaction logs, and financial records related to gaming activities to detect anomalies or potential fraud.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and evidence in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with gaming facility staff, regulatory bodies, and technical support teams to resolve identified issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay current with all applicable gaming laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Provide expert testimony or support during investigations or disciplinary proceedings as required.
  • Adhere strictly to all security and confidentiality protocols.

Required Skills

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report generation and stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during night shifts.
  • Strong ethical foundation and commitment to integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in using audit software, spreadsheets, and database applications.
  • Basic understanding of electronic systems and technical components.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various gaming locations within the state during night hours.
  • Availability to work primarily during night hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in auditing, regulatory compliance, or the gaming industry.
  • Knowledge of Oregon gaming laws and regulations.
  • Certification in gaming auditing (e.g., CIGA) or related fields (e.g., CISA, CIA).
  • Familiarity with various types of electronic gaming machines and their operational mechanics.
