Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and tech-savvy UPS App Quality Rater with a strong mobile technology focus to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the high quality and user-friendliness of UPS’s diverse suite of mobile applications. You will execute test cases, identify bugs, provide detailed feedback, and contribute to the overall enhancement of our mobile platforms that are essential for our global logistics operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, familiarity with various mobile operating systems, and a passion for delivering a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases on various mobile devices (iOS and Android) for UPS proprietary applications.
- Identify, document, and report software defects, anomalies, and inconsistencies using a bug tracking system.
- Provide clear, concise, and reproducible steps for bugs and issues encountered.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and features.
- Perform regression testing to ensure previously identified defects have been resolved.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of test plans and test cases.
- Participate in user acceptance testing and provide feedback from an end-user perspective.
- Stay updated with the latest mobile technology trends and app testing methodologies.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS and Android).
- Experience with manual testing of mobile applications.
- Ability to articulate and document technical issues clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a quality assurance or app testing role, especially for logistics or enterprise applications.
- Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience with different mobile device form factors and screen resolutions.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level).
