Job Description

BetterUp is seeking a dedicated Virtual Happiness Aide with a strong focus on positive psychology to support our members on their journey to greater flourishing. In this 100% remote role, you will be an integral part of our support team, leveraging principles of positive psychology to guide, encourage, and connect members with the resources they need to enhance their well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Engage with BetterUp members through virtual channels (chat, email) to provide empathetic support and guidance related to their well-being goals.
- Utilize principles of positive psychology to frame interactions, encourage growth mindsets, and foster resilience.
- Help members navigate the BetterUp platform, connecting them with coaches, content, and exercises relevant to their positive psychology journey.
- Identify common member challenges and collaborate with internal teams to develop proactive solutions and resources.
- Assist in the development and curation of positive psychology-focused content and resources for members.
- Maintain accurate records of member interactions and feedback to continuously improve the member experience.
- Participate in ongoing training and development focused on positive psychology, coaching methodologies, and member support best practices.
Required Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong empathetic approach.
- Foundational understanding of positive psychology principles and their practical application.
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools and web-based platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in customer support, member success, or a similar client-facing role, preferably in a tech or wellness company.
- Certification or coursework in Positive Psychology, Coaching, or Well-being.
- Familiarity with CRM software and virtual communication tools.
