Job Description
Are you passionate about health and fitness? Do you enjoy helping others achieve their wellness goals? 24 Hour Fitness is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Student Fitness Floor Host to join our Oakland team. This entry-level position is perfect for students seeking a flexible schedule and a dynamic work environment. You will be the friendly face on our fitness floor, ensuring a positive and safe experience for all members.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members warmly and provide assistance with equipment usage and general gym inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness floor environment, regularly sanitizing equipment.
- Monitor the fitness area to ensure members are following safety guidelines and proper gym etiquette.
- Assist in basic equipment troubleshooting and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Provide basic spotting assistance or guidance when requested, within your scope of training.
- Support club operations by performing light administrative tasks as needed.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting a positive and motivating atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Current student enrollment (high school or college).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for fitness and a desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of gym equipment and safety protocols.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience in any industry.
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain within first 90 days).
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
