Job Description

Are you meticulous, organized, and available for weekend work? Walmart in New Port Richey is seeking a dedicated Part-time Inventory Tagger to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring our shelves are always ready for our customers. As a casual support team member, you will primarily work weekends, providing essential assistance with inventory management tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately tag and label incoming merchandise with price tags, security tags, or inventory identification numbers.
  • Assist in organizing and stocking shelves, ensuring products are placed in designated areas.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the stockroom and sales floor.
  • Operate basic inventory management tools and handheld scanners (training provided).
  • Support the team with general merchandise handling and store upkeep as needed.
  • Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable and punctual, especially for weekend shifts.
  • Basic communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail or inventory management (not required, but a plus).
  • Familiarity with inventory tagging systems or handheld scanners.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
