Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting summer opportunity and want to kickstart a career in leisure? Everyone Active in Anlaby, Kingston upon Hull, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Trainee Lifeguards for the upcoming summer season. No prior experience is required, as we are committed to investing in your future by providing and paying for your full Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) training. This is a fantastic chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification, develop essential life-saving skills, and work in a dynamic, fun environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and pass the fully funded RLSS NPLQ training course.
- Actively supervise pool users to ensure their safety at all times.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations fairly and consistently.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to any emergency situations, including performing rescues and administering first aid.
- Maintain a clean and safe pool environment, including performing routine checks of equipment and facilities.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting guests with inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of the leisure centre.
Required Skills
- Ability to swim 50 meters in under 60 seconds.
- Ability to swim 100 meters continuously on your front and back.
- Ability to tread water in deep water for 30 seconds.
- Ability to surface dive to the deepest part of the pool.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Commitment to completing the required lifeguard training course.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Basic knowledge of first aid (certification not required as full training will be given).
- A passion for health, fitness, and aquatic activities.
